IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY DIAL 9-1-1
The Minot Rural Fire Department responds to structure fires, wildland/grass
fires, vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents and service calls.
We are available to check suspicious
carbon monoxide levels in the homes and
businesses within the district.
Our Fire Prevention and Inspection Department provides annual site
inspections for the licensing of home daycare facilities, the retail sale of
fireworks and establishments selling alcoholic beverages. Inspections comply
with local and state codes and the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code.
The Department's Fire Prevention Officer coordinates annual visits to area
schools during Fire Prevention week. During these visits, students are given
safety tips and the ability to see what a firefighter would look like during
an emergency situation. The Fire Prevention Officer also provides
educational safety briefings for the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and 4-H Clubs.
If you would like a member of our Fire Dept. to visit with your group, please contact
us.
The District has established a fee policy for monitoring controlled burns.
If you
require fire control assistance for any open burning situation, please
contact us.
All non-agricultural burning requires a permit from the
First District
Health Unit.
Agricultural materials consist of trees, branches, grass, hay, straw,
stubble and
other vegetation products. If you have any additional questions give us a
